A State Champion pole vaulter, Nura found her true calling in rowing after a few years of college track & field. Nura made the switch to rowing at the University of Alabama, where she was named a CRCA Scholar-Athlete while earning a spot on the Commissioner's Honor Roll. In her collegiate career Nura was also able to finish in the top 10 at Head of the Charles and earn points in the Varsity 4+ at conference championships. She then began work as a volunteer coach for Alabama and earned degrees in Exercise Science and Sports Management. Nura has coached at Orlando Area Rowing Society and RowAmerica Rye with athletes earning top finishes at their Regional and National regattas. She also has spent time working and learning with the Junior National Team development camps.
She is thrilled for the opportunity to share her knowledge and love for the sport to First Coast Rowing. In her free time, Nura still rows in masters regattas and enjoys coaching and training for CrossFit competitions.
